About Course

During this short, course we will study some of the special counsels of the Prophet ﷺ that he conveyed to his noble companions, encompassing an array of different topics like sin, god-consciousness, personal worship, relatives, spouses, funerals and washing the dead.

The Prophet ﷺ said, “I have not left any good that will draw you nearer to Allah except I have elucidated it and explained it to you, nor any harm except that I have cautioned you against it and warned you of it.” (Mishkat al-Masabih)

Counsels (wasaya/وصايا) always imparted due to sincere, compassionate care for one’s brethren. It has come in the hadith of Muadh b. Jabal (ra), the Prophet ﷺ said to him, “O Muadh, I counsel you as a caring brother” (Musnad). The Holy Qur’an also highlights this wonderful Prophetic characteristic of the blessed Messenger ﷺ;

“A Messenger Has come to you from among yourselves. Your suffering distresses him: he is deeply concerned for you and full of kindness and mercy towards the believers.” [9:128]
